Production Diary: 11/02/15
Today we finished our final cut and exported it so we can upload it to YouTube. We also filmed an extra shot for in the lab, however we didn't like how it fit into the scene so we decided to remove it.

We also filmed extra shots this week, of the zombie biting another person in the lab, however we put this between shots of the zombie running through the woods so that it resembles back-flashes, by doing this we are able to break up the lengthy scene and help it flow better. We also but static sounds and images over the beginning and end of each shot to help show a cut between the woods and lab as well as emphasis the back-flash.

This week we filmed and extra shot for the lab scene, it is of the Zombie opening its eyes before sitting up. We decided to add this shot in as it helps the scene to flow better by making the movement of the zombie seem continues. To make sure the new shot fit into the scene we added attributes from the other shots in that scene to make the lighting as near the same as possible to reduce continuity errors.

We made the lab scenes darker because the lighting was to dark and conflicted with the thriller genre.

Opening Sequence 1st Cut
Feedback
We were told that our framing of shots, steadiness of camera, mine en scene, and our use of titles were very good, and our editing for meaning was also good but can still be developed.
We were told that our material is appropriate for the task, although the lighting is quite high key which doesn't fit our genre. They then said that we could add some other fast handheld shots of 'bite' so that the extra zombies made sense.
To add more bite scenes we thought that these could be much closer up and more graphic (e.g. blood) and they could be shown both in the lab and in the woods.

We were told that our shot transitions are varied and our post production effects were good, and adapting lighting will help in post production and to include some more flashing shots at the end to be consistent.
To adapt the lighting we thought that we could paste the lighting from one of the wood scenes over the top of the lab scenes to that it looked darker.

We were told that the music in the begginning started too late and to make it start earlier in the sequence.
